HON. KADI ADAMU KUNA JIBRIN

Hon. Kadi Adamu Kuna Jibrin was born on 1st October, 1961 at Gadam District of Kwami Local Government Area of Gombe State. He started his Qura’anic Education at the Tsangaya Islamic School of late Alhaji Adamu Bauchi the Chief Imam of Gadam. He studied the Holy Qur’an from 1970 to 1973.

He started his Western Education at Gadam Primary School in 1971 to 1978. Upon completion of his Primary School, he proceeded to Government Arabic Teachers’ College Gombe from 1979 to 1983 where he obtained his Grade Two Teachers’ Certificate. The legal icon then proceeded to the Bayero University, Kano from 1986 – 1987 where he ungone a one year pre degree programme at the School of General Studies of the University. After the programme, he was enrolled into the full degree programme in 1987 to 1991 where he obtained Bachelor of Laws (L.L.B) certificate. At Bayero University, His Lordship studied both Shari’a and Civil Law.

The Legal luminary proceeded to the Nigerian Law School, Lagos from 1992 to 1993 where he obtained his Barristers at Law (B.L) certificate and was enrolled into the Nigerian Bar Association in 1993.

The legal icon joined the Public Service as a Class Teacher in the year 1984 with the Gombe Local Government Education Authority. After his enrollment into the Nigerian Bar, His Lordship started his private legal practice with the Mssre Legacy Chambers under Barrister Yohanna Andy from 1993 to 1998.

His Lordship, established his legal firm the Solace Chambers and became the Principal and Head of the Chambers in the year 1998 to 2021 when he was appointed the Hon. Kadi Shari’a Court of Appeal, Gombe State and sworn in on 11th day of October, 2021.

His Lordship, had been in active practice for a considerable number of years and he practiced both Islamic and Civil Law.

The legal icon attended many conference and workshops within Nigeria organised by the National Judicial Institute Abuja and the Centre for Islamic Studies, Ahmadu Bello University Zaria.

The legal luminary is happily married with two wives and is blessed with children.
